US Army Selects AviatorPro

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — August 20th, 2026 — AviatorPro, a leading aviation ground school and learning management system (LMS) platform built for career-track flight training, announced today that Team M1, led by prime contractor M1 Support Services® (M1), has been selected by the U.S. Army for the Flight School Next program. AviatorPro is proud to serve as a member of Team M1 in support of the Army's modernized Initial Entry Rotary Wing (IERW) program at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Flight School Next transforms Army flight training through a turn-key, Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated (COCO) model designed to produce more proficient Army Aviators at significantly reduced cost. The program will train up to 1,500 student pilots per year over a period of up to 26 years, making it one of the largest flight training programs in the world.

“This is a historic day for Army Aviation, and we couldn't be prouder to be part of Team M1,” said Luke Ormsby, President of AviatorPro. “We built AviatorPro to give instructors and students the best academic training tools in aviation. Supporting the mission of training the next generation of Army Aviators is the kind of opportunity we've been building toward since day one.”

Team M1 brings together the best of industry, civil aviation, and academia, including M1 Support Services (prime), General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), Robinson Helicopter Company, Quantum Helicopters, and the University of North Dakota Aerospace Foundation. M1 currently supports the Army's flight training enterprise at Fort Rucker, where it maintains more than 500 rotary-wing aircraft across five airfields flying up to 400 sorties per day and 240,000 flight hours per year.
