Registration Certificate
The FAA aircraft registration document that must be carried aboard the aircraft. It is the "R" in the ARROW mnemonic and proves the aircraft is registered to its owner; registration is distinct from the airworthiness certificate.

- REIL (Runway End Identifier Lights)A pair of synchronized flashing lights that mark the approach end of a runway to help pilots identify the threshold, especially at night or in low visibility. REIL outages appear in NOTAMs and can change night arrival planning at unfamiliar airports.

- RNAV (Area Navigation)A method of navigation that allows aircraft to fly on any desired flight path within the coverage of referenced navigation signals or within the limits of self-contained system capability (GPS). RNAV approaches are the most common GPS-based instrument approaches.
- Sectional ChartAn aeronautical chart used for VFR navigation that depicts topographic features, airspace boundaries, airports, navigation aids, and other information at a scale of 1:500,000. Sectional charts are updated every 56 days.
